How to Tie the Trilene Knot

1. Pass the line through the hook eye twice, forming a small double loop at the eye.
2. Wrap the tag end around the standing line 5-6 times.
3. Thread the tag end through the double loop at the hook eye.
4. Moisten and pull tight. Trim the tag end.

Pros

• Stronger than the standard Improved Clinch
• Double pass through the eye adds extra security
• Easy to tie once learned

Cons

• Requires a hook eye large enough for two passes
• Uses slightly more line than the Improved Clinch
