How to Tie the Rapala Knot

  1. Tie a loose overhand knot about 15 cm from the line end.
  2. Pass the tag end through the lure eye and back through the overhand knot.
  3. Wrap the tag end around the standing line 3 times.
  4. Pass the tag end back through the overhand knot from behind.
  5. Pass the tag end through the large loop just formed.
  6. Moisten and tighten. Trim the tag end.

Cons

  • Not as strong as a snug connection
