How to Tie the Palomar Knot
- Double about 15 cm of line and pass the loop through the hook eye.
- Tie a loose overhand knot with the doubled line.
- Pass the loop over the hook entirely.
- Moisten and pull both ends to tighten. Trim excess.

Cons
- Requires passing the hook through a loop, awkward with large lures
- Uses more line than other knots
