How to Tie the Slim Beauty Knot

  1. Tie a doubled overhand knot (figure-eight) in the heavier leader to form a small loop. Do not tighten fully.
  2. Pass the lighter line (or doubled line) through the leader loop.
  3. Wrap the lighter line around both strands of the leader 4 times moving away from the loop.
  4. Wrap back toward the loop 3 times.
  5. Pass the tag end through the leader loop.
  6. Moisten and carefully pull all strands to tighten. Trim tags.
